Odnite gatherings happen every Sunday morning and begin at 945am. Come join us for a time that will be anything but boring! Just one evening will have you asking some very important questions and leave you wanting more! If you’re a perfect, upstanding, respectable, fully mature person, you may not identify very well with us but if you’re just a normal person managing your way through life, you will feel right at home!

So who makes this whole thing go?  To be honest, this belongs to the students that faithfully attend. They make it what it is! However, there is actually a small band of young adult volunteers that keep the wheels on.  You can read a little more about them here.

A Bit about Purpose…

Open Door Youth Ministry believes that the responsibility of “training a child in the way he should go”, falls solely on the shoulders of parents alone.  We believe that the role of youth ministry in the body of Christ is to reinforce the Godly principles and doctrine that is being taught at home.  However, living in the brokenness that is our culture, we know that the majority of households in America are not lead by Biblical principles and so we reach out to those students that do not have the support of a Godly home.  Our prayer is that each family can experience the comforting words of Christ to the New Testament church in Philadelphia.

“I see what you’ve done. Now see what I’ve done. I’ve opened a door before you that no one can slam shut. You don’t have much strength, I know that; you used what you had to keep my Word. You didn’t deny me when times were rough. Rev 3:8

Here at OD our goal is to be a support to and to assist parents in their role of training students and seeing them mature in the relationship they have with the creator of the universe, so that their whole life brings Him honor. Knowing that He has given each person unique gifts and talents, we strive to provide opportunity for each student to develop and function in those areas. Refusing to accept anything fake or counterfeit, we provide open doors for students to connect in a genuine way with others. Last but certainly not least, we look for doors in our city and beyond to share with others the radically simple, terribly complex message of Jesus Christ.

We believe that…

We believe there is a right and a wrong.

We believe that there are winners and there are losers.

We believe that you become a winner or loser based on the choices you make.

We believe that winning is often times the more difficult choice and that the easy choice is rarely the right choice.

Although anyone can choose a winning life, we believe that winning requires a much more daring and savage person. You can’t just “go with the flow”.

We believe that the true message of Jesus Christ is as complex as he himself was 2000 years ago…

Sometimes we feel nothing but love, acceptance and grace. He comforts us and whispers strength in our ear and other times, in his untainted holiness, He terrifies us.

We believe that truly following Jesus Christ will cost you everything.

We don’t buy into a “soft” or “easy sell” version of Christianity. We aren’t even sure there is such a thing.
